About

What The Heart Wants Wellness Organization is a nonprofit that is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles. Founded in 2023 by Brooklyn McLinn, our organization believes that by taking preventive measures such as regular exercise, eating healthy, and getting routine health screenings, people can live longer, healthier lives.

In September 2023, the organization will host its first heart health walk in celebration of World Heart Day. The walk is designed to raise awareness about health issues, promote participation in the walk, and encourage healthy behaviors.

The heart health walk will be a great opportunity for people to learn more about the importance of preventive care. The organization is looking forward to hosting this event and helping to improve the health of people everywhere.

We're working to improve access to essential health services and education for underserved communities while fostering a culture of wellness in workplaces, schools, and communities to reduce the burden of preventable diseases and promote a healthy and productive society.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to build Awareness and foster Wellness in areas of preventable diseases in underserved communities, with a focus on young adults (13-25). To instill and foster a “We” attitude of Community and developing a growth mindset culture to provided services for neighbors partners. A “WE without you there is no me,” mindset is important in today for society’s survival. With so many people having become unknowingly selfish, and others just overwhelmed by their own life they have no ability to give any more, emotionally or financially, community will be the only thing that saves our society.

Our Vision

Our vision is to promote wellness and awareness of preventable diseases by creating a Me-We attitude towards community development. Financial literacy can help these individuals overcome financial barriers and make informed decisions about their health and well-being, and it can also provide them with the resources needed to improve their physical and mental health. We will assist in providing health services such as nutrition classes and exercise programs, to ensure that people are able to maintain their overall health and wellness.
Partnering with local health departments, community organizations, and local health care providers will all contribute to successfully preventing illnesses and promoting overall wellness in underserved populations. With a unified effort from all of us, we can make a real difference to ensure everyone’s health.
